Bremer Rundfunkmuseum

The Bremer Rundfunkmuseum (broadcasting museum) was founded as a club by broadcasting enthusiastic radio collectors in the year 1978. And today, the museum is still managed by honorary members only. It is the biggest technique museum of its kind in Germany. With an exhibition area of over 400 sqm, more than 700 exhibits from all epochs of broadcasting, television and sound technique are being presented. From phonograph cylinder to the digital recorder, everything can be looked at.

Discover unique rarities like the radiogram 'Blaupunkt T2650W' by the Bremen car builder Borgward or be amazed by original studio equipment from the legendary 'Comedian Harmonists. Listen nostalgic to the radio in a living room of the 50ties or get enthusiastic about the groundbreaking design among others the timeless pretty 'snow-white coffin' by Braun or the sought-after design-icons of Bang & Olufsen.

Do enjoy here the unparalleled listening experience of stereophonic, the quadraphonic or the 5.1 surround technique in a special, with high-end technique equipped 'sound room', among others with rare planar speakers. Become a morsing shipping radio operator in the historic radio station of the coaster 'Jason' or a news reader in the original Radio Bremen studio from the 50ties. The permanent exhibitions are being accompanied by an attractive range of radio drama evenings with the support by Radio Bremen as well as flea markets. The current dates can be found on our homepage.
